Top 10 favourite conversational topics of the month
1. Body Piercings: A mexican friend of mine has piercings in her tongue and best of all...*drumroooollll* her nipple! I was eating chocolates at the moment she was telling me. I nearly choked on them. Can you imagine the pain? But she says it's not painful during the piercing, only after...oh wells..
2. Italians' inglese: The inglese of the italians have been a hot topic this month. We like to make fun of their Ahhhro (euro), vooooolvs (wolves), aaang in der (hang in there) and etc etc. They don't like to speak in english obviously, neither do i in italiano.
3. Gelato! This has gotta be the best thing of all things italian. It's cheap (only 1.50 euros) and bravissimo (2 large scoops) for a piccolo, ("small"). Well the piccolo here is grande in singapore. And best of all, the range is molto molto tantissimo.
4. Chocolato. The chocolate festival of turin is really crazy! There are sooo many people that comes to visit. Yesterday we spent more time travelling to and back the place than at the piazza. So much chocolates is giving me sore throats and runny nose...
5. L'apperitvo... i know topic 3-4 is food, 5 is still food. Wahaha....so you can see, food is indeed important in our daily conversation here. Let me introduce you to the amazing apperitivo buffet here. We only need to pay for the drinks, usually alcoholic ranges from about 5-7euros, and we get to eat the food (apperitivo = appetizers) for free. There's a variety of cheese, ham, olives, riso, some pasta, breadsticks, tuna, salads and very nice appetizing food.
6. Party. The word party here is widely used. And the people here and also the other exchange students party alot. They party party, pre-party and probably post-party as well. And party times can be monday nites, tuesday nites, thursday nites, friday nites, saturday nites..(as you may observe it's like everynite.) Zouk will not be doing well here though...lols.
7. Pickpockets and Safety. Boring topic but it always surfaces. Lizhen and Cindy have been pickpocketed on the bus. Luckily the stolen stuff are just some camera batteries, pens and a glove. We really need to be very careful on the bus. Somemore the buses here are always freaking crowded.
8. Boys. Mexican gers like men in uniform. I like them non smoking. Cindy likes Quan. (花样少年少女！)
9. Weather. The weather is freaking cold when we first came but now it's like really warm. I can really start to wear my socks and skirts. Time to wax my legs and 露 abit already. And my underarms will sweat *ewww*. I need to buy some perfume soon.
10. No we are not giapponese.
